Doctor Assisted Suicide Essay Personally, I do not believe in assisted suicide. I believe that its immoral but in some cases, assisted suicide may be an alternative to eternal suffering. The pro side of this debate feels that assisted suicide is perfectly okay and is and should always be a choice for any patient with an eternal illness. In a recent study, 2/3 of Americans approve of assisted suicide. When one has less than six months to live, has requested to have assisted suicide three or more times, and has family or friends present they can then apply for assisted suicide. Nevertheless, the assisted suicide is only legal in Oregon and the Netherlands. The law in Oregon that allows this is known more commonly as the Death With Dignity Act. Most of the patients that apply have an uncontrollable amount of pain and would rather not put any more of a damper on their family. Many feel that when the pain is so unbearable, one cant control their own bodily functions, addicted to meds, and spending all of the familys retirement or college funds, they feel its time for them to move on. Furthermore, 85% of cancer patients polled said they were in pain 100% of the time. In co nclusion, assisted suicide relieves the patient of their immense pain and misery and the families of their suffering and financial strain. On the opposing side are those who feel that assisted suicide is a violation of all religious beliefs and a devalue to life. This type of death goes against what all doctors have been trained to do, to save lives, not to help end them. If assisted suicide becomes legal in more states there will be pressure on the elderly and those who are just seriously ill and the disabled to end their lives along with the terminally ill. By a study completed by ABC in March of 2002, 40% of those polled supported assisted suicide and 48% opposed it. Once this type of murder becomes legalized in more states or countries, what will the limit be? How far will it be stretched? The issue of assisted suicide becomes more and more prevalent in homes today and it puts too much power into the hands of the families and doctors involved. Assisted suicide is causing an innumerable amount of unnecessary lives to be lost. Assisted suicide in my opinion after the debate is still the same. I believe its wrong but t here are always exceptions to any rule. There are some cases in which patients are in so much pain that they are better off to die then to keep on living and suffering. As long as assisted suicide is going on, it will be abused and illegally used. But as long as there are suffering patients, some will be relieved of their terminal illness once and for all. Upon the remark Montresor, enraged at the lack of respect presented a trowel he had stashed away. During the journey through the cellars Fortunato began to request to go back since he was sick but Montresor was able to persuade him to continue on that he must try this wine. Upon the location that the wonderful wine is to be at Fortunato found his self being chained to a wall, but was to drunk and confused to know what was going on. As Fortunato was chained to the wall Montresor began to brick up the niche so that Fortunato could not escape. Whil e Montresor bricked off the niche he listened aimlessly to the shakes of the chain and the hollers of Fortunato trying to get loose. As Fortunato was screaming Montresor simply mocked the cries of help back without a single ounce of remorse. After a while Fortunato figured it was a simple joke and began to laugh knowing someone was on the other end of the walled off niche waiting to help him out. Fortunato realizes soon after it is not a joke and began to cry out for Gods help, which in return was only replied back as a mockery by Montresor. Montresor began to feel sick from the event and burdened but cold hearted and resentful he continued on with his life as a lie, unrepentant of any sins he as a murderer had committed. You can tell that Montresor had not forgotten the events of that day as the author concluded at the end May he rest in peace.

This report is based on the findings in the document from sportscotland: Sports Participation in Scotland 2007, Research Digest no. 108. Interviewing is done using the questions from the Scottish Opinion Survey (SOS) run by the TNS System Three. The results of the findings are based on interviewing about 1000 adults comprising approximately 480 men and 520 women and 250 children every month. This shows that there is a consistency in the sample size with age and sex of the people interviewed. Football has been one of the most popular and frequent participating sports among others both with children and adults of both sexes. This report will focus on a three year basis survey on the trends and the participation level in football. PARTICIPATION OF CHILDREN IN FOOTBALL Football has been the most popular sports with children (8-15 years) during the survey years. According to the survey 52% children have participated in football at least once a month between 2005 and 2007. Swimming is ranked second with a participation level of 37% only. PARTICIPATION OF CHILDREN BY SEX A more detailed approach can be made to explain the popularity of the sports considering the sex of the participants. The whole land grant process had been corrupt, so the Georgian legislature had the right to take them away, but Marshall believed there was something more to this case. For Marshall, this explanation was simply not enough, so he turned to the Constitution to find something in writing to support his decision. He found his support in the contract clause. The problem Marshall had was that the contract clause was there to protect persons waiting for a contract to be carried out, a land grant is over and done with once the land is handed over. (Corwin 153). By using a very loose interpretation, Marshall stated that when something is granted, the granter is not expected to try and take back what he has been granted.
